- A farm girl who now lives in town, who finds many things "Pin-worthy," and will probably accomplish a fraction of a FRACTION of said pins.
Oh. You were probably wondering who I am as a TEACHER! Let's try again...
Fourteen years ago, I taught K-6 SPED for four years. I learned a TON and I mean a TON. Then, I was livin' the dream and kickin' it Kindergarten style for two years. I could've taught Kindergarten FOR.EV.ER. Loved it! But alas....we moved...
Thus, my stint as a looping teacher began. It was a 1st/2nd grade loop and six of the BEST. YEARS. EVER! I learned a TON and I mean a TON! That place really shaped me educationally. But....we moved again!
So...last year, I had to grow up a little bit and teach the BIGS. 5th grade. And you know what? They're just not. that. different. (But don't tell 'em I said that!)
Which brings me to these past two years, where I'm teaching and learning...3rd grade style!
I've learned
- In 15 years
- In three districts
- With 11 superintendents (for reals,)
- At six schools
- With eight principals
- In nine different classrooms (um....i've never really THOUGHT about it like that...WOW!)
- That I. teach. kids. (And apparently, love bullets!)
Hope y'all like my style!
Jenn
